GMF identifies academically gifted students from low-income families across Kenya and provides full secondary school sponsorship paired with mentorship and career support.
We don't just pay fees. We walk with each student through school, track every result, and celebrate every milestone. GMF alumni go on to study medicine, engineering, law and business at Kenya's top universities.

The Students

Every face represents a family changed and a community transformed.

Student Story
Felistar grew up in Murang'a, the daughter of two primary-educated farmers. Her parents had no way to pay for secondary school. With a KCPE of 317 from Kaheti Primary, she had the talent GMF provided the path.
At Wamutitu Secondary School, she ranked 3rd out of 162 students in her very first term scoring a B+ mean with a perfect 90 in History. Her teachers described her performance as exceptional.
Felistar dreams of becoming a pilot or a lawyer to defend those who are wrongly jailed. “I want to raise my parents' background,” she writes, “and help children who can't afford school.”
Student Story
Lucy grew up in Tambaya with a father who worked as a builder but spent his earnings on alcohol. Her mother farmed and ran a small business. Neither had more than a primary education, and fees were out of reach.
She arrived at Kangubiri Girls with a KCPE of 339 and a C+ in Term 1, ranked 127th out of 551. By Term 2, she had climbed to 19th a B+ one of the fastest rises in her year.
Her father once dreamed of becoming an engineer but never got the chance. Lucy has made it her mission to go where he could not. “I want to help my siblings and change our family's situation,” she writes.
